Well, this post will probably get deleted sooner than later, but here it is anyways.

Maybe I should not use the word "taking," but I am not sure exactly what else to call it. I just find it funny that if you look at MCW, a topic was posted regarding height requirements on rides, and poof, a topic is posted here; someone else mentions the Lewis and Clark Circus at MCW, and poof, there they are right on the front page here. Kind of ironic that somone could accuse MCW of trying to have Carnytown thrown out of the trade show last week in Gibtown (which was not true, no one from MCW had anything to do with what happened), and yet obviously someone from here keeps going over there to see what's posted so they can post topics here. What, can't come up with something original? I just think it's just too funny to be honest with you. And sad.

For several months now I have been reading this thing about someone stealing or taking or just cant post without copy and paste. Ok I am member here and member at MCW. I post here and do most of my reading here as you my friend are just the opposite. I had occasion to go to MCW a couple days ago and I saw a post about height requirements I thought thats nice they liked Toms scrolling message and opened the pdf to copy the post.How wonderfull that is. Then scrolling down I see an article about Lewis and Clark Circus. I said geeze they even liked that article. How nice.

My point is my friend that as far as I know Tom and Matt use the same news services. Its nice they seem to think that certain items are more post worthy then others. I also am aware that you and your friends have a deep hatred for the Troll. I to have a strong dislike for him. For a while he was helping Tom out by posting news items. This of course was taken out of context and said that he was stealing posts from MCW. Strange though you dont accuse the news feeds that originally posted the stories of stealing them. The troll was asked to refrain from posting news as often and the load was put back on Tom.

Now it seems to me that this is all childish bull crap. The troll is however a good excuse for some people to not come to Carny Town. But tell me why these same people come here under different names. A trait they all seem to point at the troll of doing. And yes he does do it. My point here is only that nobody has to read any post on here it is not mandatory to read things you dont want too. I myself do not open any post with the name Richie on it. From comments made to most of his posts I am not alone there.
As for the trade show fiasco I cannot say who did what to whom as i was not there. As I am sure neither were you. I try to keep my rants on things I do know about.
Your remark up top about sad things You are right its a sad fact of life that you and your friends cant come up with any thing to claim except for the troll. I personally ignore him. When he starts on me and he does I shoot him down in mid stroke or just ignore him. I can go on and on but for now will leave this to see if I get any responces. But be carefull I am better equipped than most of the people you discuss things with on MCW. Or at least I am smarter than a fifth grader

Wow. I agree with xkizarney. That is a notable event. Yes. People in the outdoor amusement business are not all the same. They may have a common interest in show business, but that is where it ends. Some like dogs, others like cats, some are more interested in politics than what is going on in the movie industry. In other words, people have a life and when you have a page that opens up discussions freely, you can expect people to, well, discuss those issues. Once again, I will be clear on where I stand. You cannot, in America, own an idea, or a name or a theme of anything (unless you trademark it with the federal government). If you publish something for public viewing, others can be expected to discuss it somewhere, sometime. And frankly, it is the greatest compliment if YOUR idea or opinion is explored by others.

Well said. News is news. A story here is also a story there. Tit for Tat. What's good for the goose is also good for the gander. See you aren't the only one that can post nonsensical items. It's easy. One just has to shut down cranial neurons. The fool (Richie)has mastered that to an art.

Personally I find it very easy to ignore anything uninteresting. Fluff news items & anything posted by the fool each fall into that catagory. Didn't take too long to discover there is nothing to be learned from either. Does anyone really think height requirements on rides interesting reading? It is especially not front page worthy. How about a human interest story about a circus (sideshow)? Does that rank on a par with events occurring in the world today? Why are those stories delegated to the 2nd page of the discussions? How about taking this site to the next level and really opening it up to the world. There is no need for tunnel vision here. There is certainly room for other topics than those carnival related. Those world events are the more important simply because they will decide what direction the industry follows but only if that industry is paying attention.
